Mr. Gallagher is a partner at Schwarzwald McNair & Fusco LLP. He graduated cum laude from Cleveland State University in 1987 with a B.A. in English. Mr. Gallagher received his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University in 1991 where he graduated cum laude.
In addition to being admitted to practice in all Ohio state courts, Mr. Gallagher has been admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the Fifth, Sixth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the District of Colorado and the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Mr. Gallagher advises clients on wide-ranging labor and employment issues, including issues relating to work stoppages, picketing and handbilling, internal union matters, representation matters, grievances and negotiations. Mr. Gallagher represents both private and public sector unions before federal and state courts and federal and state administrative agencies. He also has extensive experience under the Railway Labor Act, in matters before the National Mediation Board and in federal court.
Mr. Gallagher has been a speaker at numerous seminars including those held by the Ohio Public Employees Lawyers Association and the Midwest Regional Meeting of the AFL-CIO’s Lawyers’ Coordinating Committee. He has served as President of the Ohio Public Employees Lawyers Association. He was also a Chapter Contributor to the 2005 and 2007 Cumulative Supplements to Labor Union Law and Regulation, which is published by BNA.
Prior to embarking on his legal career, Mr. Gallagher was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters while working for United Parcel Service.
